Green Crescent Insurance Company, a prominent UAE Insurance company, has appointed a new insurance chief executive this week.
On Monday November 28th 2011, the Board of Directors at Green Crescent Insurance Company formally announced Hazem Al Madi as their new Chief Executive Officer, tasked with guiding the company to profitability in the UAE market going forward.
The Board believes that their new appointment will provide the appropriate business acumen, experience and entrepreneurial spirit necessary to drive Green Crescent Insurance forward and realize its market potential in the UAE. Dr. Al Madi has more than ten years of experience working in the regional and local insurance market, previously serving as the executive vice president in-charge of the health insurance division at another UAE insurance company before joining Green Crescent. Over the past decade, Dr. Al Madi has been credited with positively influencing the development of the UAE Health Insurance sector in general, interacting with major international and regional players, and sharing his expertise across multiple platforms, including operations, business development and strategic planning.
Green Crescent Insurance Company was established in 2008 as a public joint-stock company with a paid-up capital of AED 250 million. The company operates out of the UAE and offers a wide variety of customized health insurance products and service options to individual, group and corporate clients in the Gulf region. Through partnerships with United Healthcare and HTH Worldwide, two renowned healthcare providers from the United States, and NAS, a leading UAE administrative firm, Green Crescent can provide efficient, reliable, and comprehensive solutions for its customers. In March 2011, the insurer signed a deal with the Dubai Health Authority to become the first UAE medical insurance company to have direct billing access to DHA-run hospitals and primary healthcare centers.
